My teammates and I were tasked with designing a preschool on the existing campus of Millbrook Magnet Middle School. The dilapidated buildings we were replacing framed the easternmost part of the existing campus, so my group and I thought it was necessary to connect the new school with the existing. Our form was also derived from the angle of the street while taking aspects of the existing building’s sawtooth roofs but putting a twist on it. Our final project accommodated classrooms, a carpool drop off, administration space, and other pieces of program within the requirements of a 5-star rated preschool.
