During my Intro to Structures class my sophomore year, a competition was held to incite my class to design and build a small masonry wall. My group chose to use a CMU screen wall to let light into the space we created. Our group’s attention to detail while flattening the ground before stacking block created a really tight wall without any mortar. My team won first place for this wall for the overall design category.
