This project was the third of my second semester studio. Tectonics are the basic building blocks of architecture and come in three kinds: Line, Frame, and Surface.
This final building block of tectonic covered Plane or Surface as a way to incorporate, as well as emphasize, the underlying features of my construction. I used paper as an element of plane or surface to connect a curve together, like in previous versions of Tectonic. This final model used a repeated module of a simple square folded on diagonals to create a continuously morphing shape.
